What determines speed of energy through a string?

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

The density and diameter are main factors. Another important factor is the tension of the string. The higher the density, the higher the frequency, the smaller the diameters, the higher the frequency. The higher the tension, the higher the frequency. Does this make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But mainly it depends on the frequency right? Because you said both those things change the frequency.

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

That's right!

Thanks!

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

you're welcome
