Why must the novelist remain detached? Explain as simple as possible, will give metal.

http://ezinearticles.com/?Being-Detached-From-Your-Writing&id=4138079 (Nifty article! It's the truth though, attachment can hinder your writing.) I have a great example! I wrote a five to six paged paper about dog fighting, which was fun but also a pain in the bum because of all the searching but back to the subject! Most of the information were fillers because I thought I needed it, which I didn't need. So my teacher said to delete it and find something to fill the gap and I was sad of course, because I thought that information would have made the paper stronger but no, it would have brought it down. I apologize if this isn't clear enough, I'm in a bit of a writing frenzy! D:

Well taking sides in a professional article is considered unprofessional.

This is on my school work thing. It asked me this question and I am not sure what to write down :(

Hmm, maybe @linda3 can help.

By Novelist do you mean authors and writers? Why do they have to be detached from their book?
