Which description of an event during the War of 1812 is not correct? A. winning of a decisive victory at New Orleans by the French navy B. saving of White House treasures by Dolley Madison C. writing of "The Star-Spangled Banner" by Francis Scott Key D. burning of the Capitol and White House by the British PLEASE HELP ASAP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THINK IT IS C, BECAUSE THAT IS WAY AFTER ALL THE EVENTS THAT HAPPENED.

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

A. The decisive victory at New Orleans was won by American troops, not the French navy. The other 3 did happen during the War of 1812 (and the battle of New Orleans actually took place after the peace agreement was signed!)

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Yeah, the writing of the Star Spangled Banner is probably the most memorable event of the War of 1812, lol.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

And it happened DURING the war.
