What is author's purpose?

3 years ago
OpenStudy (anonymous):

Author's purpose is the reason or reasons an author has for writing a selection. If readers enjoyed what they read, one of the author's purposes may have been to entertain. If students learn while they are reading, one of the author's purposes may have been to inform.

i never knew batman was a book... :/

@linda3 Did you know? :/

OpenStudy (linda3):

but just by watching the movie we know that the moral essence is that batman over came his fear and saved other ppl - and he does good works hidden without anybody knowing who he is. He was a hero without powers and i believe the most important message the author wants to let the reader know the purpose why he wrote the book - to let ppl know that you don't need powers to become the very best or to become a hero- you can become one by sacrificing your own wants and helping other ppl you don't even know even if it means risking your life for the other person. - hope this helps! :)
