Which sentence is punctuated correctly? A. My father is flying in from overseas tomorrow; and the arrival time is 4:45 P.M. B. My father is flying in from overseas tomorrow the arrival time is 4:45 P.M. C. My father is flying in from overseas tomorrow; the arrival time is 4:45 P.M. D. My father is flying in from overseas tomorrow, the arrival time is 4:45 P.M.
c, i think.
b wouldnt work obviusly because there is no transition between the 2 ideas, which make it wrong, but d and a arent right either because though they are transitions, they aren't elaborating upon the first idea, which makes it seem very disjointed, unless, by using ";" , we can write both semi-related ideas in one sentence without it sounding funny~
D
how so?
Its C. simi colons don't come before conjunctions such as and used in A. And commas use conjunctions so its not D. and B is wrong because there is no comma or semi colon. Hope this helps!!
