myininaya (myininaya):

subtracting 6

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well can you please check again... start at 5... how many to -1...? then from -1 to -7 how far..?

myininaya (myininaya):

sorry campell i will let you finish

OpenStudy (anonymous):

- 6

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

thats fine @myininaya

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... so you have found the common difference d = -6 and the 1st term is a = 5 the term you need to find is n = 27 so the formula is \[a_{n} = a + ( n - 1) \times d\] you you just need to substitute the values and then calculate the answer hope it makes sense..

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

thats it
