Her way of doing it is not the way your teacher wanted you to do it.
You are supposed to use your common sense to see if seven hundred and something is a reasonable answer to 6.9 something times 11.something

@karategirl2002 No, it's very unlikely that she really got it.  I agree with @BangkokGarrett that the problem is intended to test estimation skills.  Multiplying the exact numbers does not do so.
