Part A: Write equations to represent Company A and Company B's total mattress cleaning charges for a certain number of mattresses. Define the variable used in the equations. (4 points) Part B: Which company would charge less for cleaning 4 mattresses? Justify your answer. (3 points) Part C: How much money is saved by using the services of Company
B instead of Company A to clean 7 mattresses? (3 points)
@johnweldon1993
Im not sure what they mean by part A. But imma give it a go... Company A- To clean 2 mattresses would be $60 for both and $26 as service charges, and a total of $86\ Company B- To clean 2 mattresses would be $56 for both and $30 as service charges, and a total of $86 Again, im not sure what they mean by Part A. But MAYBE this is what they mean.... I hope this helped?
And for part B- Neither companies would charge more of less... They have the same prices for everything put together, but company B charges less for the cleaning and more for the service charges. Where as company A charges more for for the cleaning and less more service charges... So... Company A- would charge $120 for all four mattresses, and 52 for service... to get a total of $172... And... company B- would charge $112 for cleaning all four mattresses, and $60 for service... to get a total of $172 dollars... Again, you wouldn't pay more or less for either companies... I hope this helped!
