What is the median of the following set of numbers? 19, 23, 23, 26, 30, 32, 34, 34, 37, 37, 37, 41 A. 33 B.34 C. 23 D. 32 MEDIAN For an ordered data set with an odd number of values, the median is the middle value. For an ordered set with an even number of values, the median is the average of the two middle values.
@thomaster I tried I know this looks like a really easy question but it is not! Do you think you could HELP me?
@DullJackel09
@Luigi0210 @Squirrels @baileypole @DollyAcquah Somebody PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! It looks easy and usually these kinda questions are but I cant figure it out!!!!!!!
the answer is 33
to find median like that u must add the 2 numbers then divide that answer bye 2
@whpalmer4
ANYONE CAN HELP JUST NEED HELP BADLY!!!!!!!!!!!!
How many numbers are there?
You want the median number (number in the middle). In the case in which there are 2 numbers in the middle, find the mean of the two numbers (average).
@math_genius123 do you think you might know the answer??????????
The calculator uses two different formulas for calculating the median, depending on whether the number of observations is odd, or it is even: When the number of observations is odd the formula is: \[x _{m}=x _{n+1}/2\] When the number of observations is even the formula is: \[x_{m}=(x _{n/2}+x _{n+2/2})/2\] where n is the number of observations.
Median: 33
YES, NO, MAYBE, SO?
i have to go but if you want to answer my question i will give you a medal when i get back online. thanks you! :)
As I was saying when OS took yet another dirt nap, Put your numbers in ascending order (you've already got this) Count how many numbers you have If you have an odd number of numbers, take the middle one as your median, If you have an even number of numbers, take the middle two, add them together and divide by two. The result is your median. It really isn't that complicated to do, and 9 year old kids in California are expected to learn how to do it...
33 is the answer
