List two of the five synonyms you defined from "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" and their definitions. For each word, include one sentence describing why you believe William Wordsworth did not choose to include it in his poem. Use proper spelling and grammar
I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. Continuous as the stars that shine And twinkle on the milky way, They stretched in never-ending line Along the margin of a bay: Ten thousand saw I at a glance, Tossing their heads in sprightly dance. The waves beside them danced; but they Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: A poet could not but be gay, In such a jocund company: I gazed—and gazed—but little thought What wealth the show to me had brought: For oft, when on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude; And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils.
What?! These directions, though. >.>

Bliss means joy and gay means cheerful. William Wordsworth wouldn't use it because his poem because the type of poem he wrote was deep and poets do this to better express a feeling or emotion when normal explanation fails to truly convey it in a sensual way.
WHOOAAAA. that's actually really good. xDD

But he does use the words gay, and bliss in the poem?
(For the people who had the opposite question on the test) List two of the five words you defined from "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" and their definitions. For each word, include one sentence describing why you believe William Wordsworth chose to include it in his poem. Use proper spelling and grammar.
Using #Djcall11 words respectively, my answer was: My words are gay and bliss. William Wordsworth used these types of words within his poem because it expresses a much deeper feeling than using words such as happy, and joy. Using this type of diction allows the reader to feel much more connected with the writers thoughts and feelings on a much higher level.
@Abhisar why are you looking at this xD
lol wha @Joel_the_boss
