is there a similarity transformation that maps triangle ABC to triangle DEF? if so identify the similarity transformation and write a similarity statement. explain your answer.
my teacher said i was missing part of it i dont see what i am missing
I can only guess that when they ask for "write a similarity statement." they mean something specific like \[ D_2 \ (\Delta ABC) = \Delta DEF \] where D means dilate. I made that up, but maybe they want something along those lines?
so i am assuming i was missing the similarity statement
Or maybe you just need to show that each of the corresponding sides all have the same ratio \[\large \frac{ DE }{AB} = \frac{ EF }{BC} = \frac{DF }{AC }\]
I have no idea what a similarity statement is, though.
was i kind of on the right track?
Yeah what you wrote looks reasonable.
she said it was Incomplete i guess i needed to include the ratio...?
Yeah or something like phi wrote.
ill combine them and come up with something thanks @phi and @agent0smith :)
