I need help with this calculus problem...
y = sqrt(9 − x^2) y = 0
where is step1 ?
and whats the exact question ? it sounds like a word problem /
Here is step 1
try this : http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=2*pi+%5Cint_0%5E3+x%5Csqrt%7B9-x%5E2%7D+dx
18pi was my original answer but it was wrong. What is x subscript 0 suppose to mean?
it is asking u to enter number, may be try entering approximate number of 18pi
I doubt that will work since the symbol for pi is already there. The only thing left to put would be 18 but I don't know why it's not correct
not getting u, it is explicitly asking for a number, right ?
oh ok got u now, just enter 18, that will do i think :)
Yes. I got the right answer just now. The correct answer is 6
from where 6 came frm :/
On step one it reads, "Therefore, the total volume of the hemisphere is 18pi" I divided 18 by 3 and got 6
Ahh we have removed 1/3rd of the volume.... it is specified in the question itself lol !
