Can someone help me with absolute value equations? |n+5| =-7 I'm stuck. :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think question is wrong because absolute value is always positive and positive quantity can not be equal to a negative quantity.

OpenStudy (phi):

| anything | will be 0 or positive. You CANNOT get a negative number.

OpenStudy (phi):

so the answer is "empty set" or "does not exist"
