Tips for quick solving quadratic equations. TIP 1. When a + b + c = 0, one real root is (1) and the other is (c/a) TIP 2. When a - b + c = 0, then one real root is (-1) and the other is (-c/a). Example above: y = -x^2 + 2x + 3 = 0. We have a - b + c = 0, then one real root is (-1) and the other is (-c/a = (-3)/(-1) = 3. Remember these 2 Tips. They will save you a lot of time.
