OpenStudy (agent_a):

Solve for the values of a,b,c, and d, using the four equations: a + b + c + d = 0 -8a + 4b - 2c + d = 0 3a + 2b + c = 0 12a - 4b + c = 0

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

these are not equations...there are no equal signs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do all these equal zero or something?

OpenStudy (agent_a):

They are all equivalent to zero.

OpenStudy (agent_a):

Sorry. I was in a hurry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what you can do is solve the first equation for one variable and then plug that in into the next equation and then solve that for the same variable and plug that into the third equation and then do the same for the third equation to the fourth

OpenStudy (agent_a):

I've been doing it for hours. I can't seem to result to an answer that does not equate to zero or, one wherein the variables are eradicated.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me try working it out.

OpenStudy (agent_a):

Those are all the derivatives of another problem. I'm just getting to the last step.... I gave up because my time to answer the question is about to expire.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sure you can plug it into an online matrix calculator to solve it quickly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since it will take me a little bit of time to solve from the constant calculations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sure there are some matrix calculators that you can google

OpenStudy (agent_a):

Yes, but I'd also like to learn the process.....

OpenStudy (kainui):

So how much do you know about matrices?
