Which word correctly completes the sentence? At the __________ salon, haircuts are half-price this weekend. A. womens B. women's C. womens'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"womens' " the apostrophe goes after the s when the plural has an "s" so final answer is A. womens ..I think Idk I could be wrong but I know it's not women's because if you're referring to one women you should say "women's" but we're not referring to one woman. so I think the answer is A. womens :)

Actually it's B. ''women's''. Since women is already plural, you wouldn't add a 's'. We do not use apostrophe just to make a noun plural. We use them to also show possession. When referring to the women hair salon we would use ''women's'' Hope this helped :)
