lim x->0 tan(1-cosx/x)

OpenStudy (kainui):

What's your best guess? Can you use L'Hopital's rule?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i havent learned yet the L'Hopital's rule but i think: limx->0 tan(1-cosx/x)= tan limx->0 (1-cosx)/x

OpenStudy (kainui):

Yeah, that's true.

OpenStudy (kainui):

How about the squeeze theorem, are you familiar with that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the limit is 0/1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know the theorem very good because i dont know how to derive good

OpenStudy (kainui):

Actually, I don't know if that'll help us much here. But the limit will be 0/0 of the inside, which is an indeterminate form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help me with this L'hopital's rule?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help me with this problem?
