Help me with this section. About the Thales of Miletus

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

What kinds of things would Thales of Miletus talk about? The weather in Mietus? He was more than a scientist. He was the first Greek philosopher to attempt to explain the world without referring to mythology. His deductive reasoning is what scientists copied. He was also big on geometry. If you know a bit about what he did and wrote about, it should be simple to think of some things hey might put it a post. "Hey, I just figured out that ship is half a mile from shore with geometry. Pretty cool. Huh?

Thanks.
