I'm completely lost, and I've been working all different types of algebra equations for the past week so I'm getting them all mixed up and confused

can you find the point (1,0)  (x=1 , y=0)
put your finger on that point and go down the line until you reach the curve.
then move sideways to the left.
read off the y value.
