You replace a 100 W incandescent lightbulb with a 22 W CFL bulb. If you leave your lights on 24 hours a day, how much energy are you saving each day by replacing this bulb

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Find the energy used by the 100W bulb being left on for 24 hours. Find the energy used by the 22W bulb being left on for 24 hours. The difference is the amount saved.

Everything you need to know is in this equation:\[P=\frac{ E }{ t }\]where P is power; E is energy; and t is time. Be careful with the units. \[1W=1\frac{ J }{ s }\]
