OpenStudy (anonymous):

factor the polynomail -6mn+4m+18n-12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-6n(m-3)+4(m-3)=>(-6n+4)(m-3);

OpenStudy (vivek3461):

-6mn + 4m + 18n - 12 take -2m as common from first 2 terms -2m ( 3n - 2 ) + 18n - 12 take 6 as common from last 2 terms -2m ( 3n - 2 ) + 6 ( 3n - 2 ) now take (3n-2) as common from 2 terms ( 3n - 2 ) ( -2m +6 )

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Technique is factoring by grouping: \[-6mn + 4m + 18n - 12\] \[(-6mn + 4m) + (18n - 12)\]factor each group\[-2m(3n-2)+6(3n-2)\]now each group shares a common factor, \((3n-2)\) so factored that out to give\[(3n-2)(-2m+6)=(3n-2)(6-2m)\] Check work by multiply and comparing to original:\[(3n-2)(6-2m)=18n-6mn-12+4m\]
