Cause you're trying to figure out how much money he has for rides, therefore you would not subtract that cost without even knowing what it is so its not c or d. But then b makes no sense either.

This left her with 64$

So each ride cost 1.25$ If she went on 5 rides an equation such as

$$$-1.25 \times 5 = -5.25$$

Then when you add -5.25 with 64 you get 58.75
