one medal for right answer.............. when scientists raise newly hatched birds that have lost their parents, the scientists often use puppet like devices to feed and care for the young birds.these puppet like devices look like adult birds of same species as the newly hatched birds.why do the scientists use these puppet like devices?

I'd say they use the puppet devices so that they don't scare the young birds away.. and also to teach them how to care for their young when they reproduce.

And yeah, because if the young birds don't have a "mothering figure" to learn from.. when they grow up and have young of their own, they're not going to know how to take care of them.
