Solve: x^2 + 11x + 30 = 0 I used the quadratic formula= -b +/- √b^2 - 4ac/2a

I am working on it and got to -11 +/- √1/2 but im confused on how to go further

if you want to check you solutions just plug them in and see x^2 + 11x + 30 = 0 plugging in x= -5 (-5)^2 + 11(-5) + 30 [this should equal zero ] plugging in x= -6 (-6)^2 + 11(-6) + 30 [this should also equal zero ]
