Addition Rules..please help ?? To maintain their physical fitness, Americans are exercising more than ever in a variety of ways. Bradley and Robbins interviewed many Americans to determine how they were exercising. They present the following data: 53% jog, 44% swim, 46% cycle, 18% jog and swim, 15% swim and cycle, 17% jog and cycle, and 7% jog, swim, and cycle. If an American who exercises regularly is randomly selected, what is the probability that the person either jogs, swims or cycles to maintain physical fitness? (Create a Venn Diagram)
i think i know how to do the ven diagram....i just dont know how to get the answer |dw:1395983086205:dw|
First, the numbers above will have to be adjusted. If I add up all the percentages in the jog circle the total should be 53%. Total of numbers in swim circle should be 44%. Total of all numbers in the cycle circle should be 46%.
should i subtract the betweens from the main like this? |dw:1395984514610:dw|
