will give medal!!!! Solve for angle F using all three of the definitions of vertical, supplementary, and corresponding angles. Explain your reasoning. pic down below

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please @rock_mit182

OpenStudy (anonymous):

imm not good at math... @rock_mit182

OpenStudy (rock_mit182):

well you have to look for angles in a parallel lines thrpugh a transversal

OpenStudy (rock_mit182):

to be able to solve this :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a is 70....180 - (70+40).....supplementary angles d is 70..............corresponding angles f is 40............opposite angles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you guy please help with one more...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Angle d corresponds to angle a...that's why its 70 Angle f is opposite angle d...that's why it's 70

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i tthought you said angle f was 40 @BangkokGarrett

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooops angle f is actually 70

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a is 70....180 - (70+40).....supplementary angles d is 70..............corresponding angles f is 70............opposite angles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but they have to add up to 180.. i thought because they are supplementary...@BangkokGarrett

OpenStudy (anonymous):

70, 40 and a have to add up to 180 70 + 40 + 70 is 180 So a is 70. But d has to equal a, and f has to equal d. So f is 70 too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, they add up to 180, but then you rearrange, making a subject of the formula to get the corresponding angle... @maddybz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i see what your saying so would this be a good answer... angle a has to be 70 because those 3 would have to add up to 180 which is a supplementary angle and 70 plus 40 is only 110 and 180 minus 110 is 70. angle a and d are corresponding so d would be 70 and f is d's vertical angle so it would be equal and 70 degrees as well... so f=70degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yayyy!!! can you guys help with another...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@BangkokGarrett can you help with another please last one i swear

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ask away! I tend not to stay in one thread very long. I jump around a lot to different question threads

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve for x. Show your work. @BangkokGarrett

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is extremely hard to read. Are the angles 155 80 70 and 3x ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5x @BangkokGarrett

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a quadrilateral (4 sided figure) the angles have to add up to 360. Does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this a good answer? well the angles should add up to 360 and the 3 that we have add up to 305 so 360 minus 305 is 55 55 divided by 5 is 11 i divided it by 5 because its 5 times x. x=11 @BangkokGarrett

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sounds good!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!
