Please help me! p(0)=7. What is a possible explanation for this?

OpenStudy (davidusa):

do u mean a possible equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought it'd be 7-0 but I'm not sure, and yes, @DavidUsa

OpenStudy (davidusa):

it could be 2x+7 or x^2+4x+7 or anything really that has a plus seven and all the other components are multiplied my at least one power of x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thnx, @DavidUsa for helping! ;) I appreciate it. :)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

if p(x) represents a polynomial equation, then p(0) = 7 means : when x= 0, the value of polynomial is 7

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

in other words, 7 is the y-intercept of p(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, @ganeshie8 , thanks soo much! :)

OpenStudy (davidusa):

yep that works too
