If students are allowed to use technology such as computers, calculators and tablets, then they will be able to develop a deeper understanding of the math concepts presented within their course. Using the conditional statement provided above write the inverse, converse and contrapositive statements.
@ganeshie8 Can You Please Help Me?
statement : if A, then B inverse : if NOT A, then NOT B converse : if B, then A contrapositive : if NOT B, then NOT A
break the given statement into two pieces at the word "then"
If students are allowed to use technology such as computers, calculators and tablets, then they will be able to develop a deeper understanding of the math concepts presented within their course.
the first part is A the second part is B
lets write out \(inverse\) : If students are NOT allowed to use technology such as computers, calculators and tablets, then they will NOT be able to develop a deeper understanding of the math concepts presented within their course.
see if that makes more or less sense...
Im So Confuse
So That Mean The Converse Would Be "If Students Are Allowed To Use Technology Such As Computers, Calculators And Tablets THEN They Would Be Able To Develop A Deeper Understanding Of Math Concepts Presented Within The Course
for converse, u need to switch A and B
So It Would Be The Other Way Around "They Would Be Able To Develop A Deeper Understanding Of Math Concepts Presented Within The Course" "If Students Are Allowed To Use Technology Such As Computers, Calculators And Tablets
It's a nice theory, but my experience on OpenStudy suggests that kids who only use calculators don't develop a deeper understanding, and often turn out not to be good at either using their calculator OR recognizing when the result is wrong, which is a deadly combination...
I apologize for injecting real life into a logic problem, won't let it happen again! :-)
^^true they should try both ! once they get in love wid compass and straight edge, they will be able to appreciate technology much better xD
its much worse wid these online schools like flvs/connections lol they dont even monitor whether the student is really doing the final course exam or somebody else is doing it on behalf of student !
So Would The Converse Be The Other Way Around
yes, your covnerse statement is correct, but it is not making sense... massage it a it :)
"They Would Be Able To Develop A Deeper Understanding Of Math Concepts Presented Within The Course" "If Students Are Allowed To Use Technology Such As Computers, Calculators And Tablets This Is The Converse?
it should say something like below :- \(converse\) : If students are able to develop a deeper understanding of the math concepts presented within their course. then the students will be allowed to use technology such as computers, calculators and tablets,
i was close thanks so how would the contrapositive be
yes you're very close :)
for contrapositive, just negate each statement in converse
im confuse so it would be the same as converse?
\(contrapositive :\) If students are NOT able to develop a deeper understanding of the math concepts presented within their course. then the students will NOT be allowed to use technology such as computers, calculators and tablets,
let me knw if smthng doesnt make sense...
it makes alot more sense thank you
Use any statement you created for Part 1 to write an essay detailing your point of view. You may agree or disagree with any statement from Part 1. Remember that formulating an essay takes research and time to get yourself to the point where you can defend your position thoroughly. You must provide evidence to support and strengthen your claim. Also, show any limitations and weaknesses of opposing evidence you find. Your essay should be written in a formal style that is clear and coherent. Finally, make sure to provide a conclusion that supports the argument you presented within the body of your essay.
okay how would i do this
