The graph of a system of parallel lines will have no solutions. Always Sometimes Never Given the equation 5x + y = 7, which equation below would cause a consistent-independent system? 10x + 2y = 14 -15x - 3y = -6 5x + y = -7 6x + 2y = 7 How many solutions will this system of equations have? y = -3.5x - 3.5 y = -3.5x + 3.5 No solution Infinite solutions One solution Two solutions
The graph of a system of equations with different slopes will have no solutions. Always Sometimes Never An inconsistent system of equations is a system with __________. the same line parallel lines intersecting lines and lines that have the same equation intersecting lines and lines that have the same slope
I dont know abou the second question, but parallel lines dont intercept each other, never.. so a system of parallel lines always have no solution, and for the system y=-3.5x-3.5 y=-3.5x+3.5 you can see both lines have the same slope -3.5, so they are parallel lines and the system has no solution
that makes sense
can you help me with the others?
one sec.
thanks the video helped me out on those
youre welcome
