3. How are self-replicating molecules, such as RNA molecules in the “RNA World” hypothesis, essential to the most popular hypotheses about the origin of life on Earth?

I am willing to know the answer too.

It is generally accepted that current life on Earth descends from an RNA world, although RNA-based life may not have been the first life to exist. RNA is believed to have once been capable of supporting independent life forms. The RNA world hypothesis places RNA at center-stage when life originated because the essential part is that RNA can be built from ingredients of the primordial soup. The Primordial Soup Theory suggest that life began in a pond or ocean as a result of the combination of chemicals from the atmosphere and some form of energy to make amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, which would then evolve into all the species.
