Estimate 12.56+12.69 using front-end estimation. about $26.30 about $26.80 about $23.80 about $25.30
about 23.80
how u get that?
simplifing and multiplying after that
jk its ether a or b
no its d sorry
im cunfused but i know its d
the goal of this problem is to estimate, not to obtain the exact "answer." 12.56+12.69 could be represented, roughly speaking, by rounding off both numbers. I chose to think of 12.56+12.69 as 12.6 + 12.6, which comes out to 25.2.
So, which of the four answers is the best one, and why?
Thanks, @mathmale for your help, and explaining :)
so it would be d right if you rounf after right
Yes, that's correct. Note (once more) that it was not our goal to find the exact answer, but to estimate it. (d) is closer than any of the other answers to 25.2.
ok thx
