How do you find the equation of the straight lines through each of the following pairs of points: (0,2) and (4,3) What is the equation?

OpenStudy (richyw):

I like to always use the slope-intercept form: \[y=mx+b\]In this case it is easy to use because one of the points is on the y axis. So immediately you know that b=2. now you just need to find your slope.\[m=\frac{y_2-y_2}{x_2-x_1}\]
