I'm looking for as much information as possible about democracy and why it's important for students to learn about. If you have something, respond. Please do not post me links or words from the internet for I have done a lot of research myself. I need opinions and facts. Whatever you know or think about democracy please let me know. It will help me in my essay a whole lot. I'm looking for point of views from as much people not just one one person. So, if someone already responding, and you know you can also respond, then please do. Thank you to whoever helps or tries to <3

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

I don't quite understand... why its important for students to learn about it? Then why is it important to learn about socialism? Or communism? That debates the entire field of economics... This is a tough one !

OpenStudy (timaashorty):

Yes. The essay is actually about what is the best way to learn democracy and why. Or if democracy should be taught in schools, but I need all that to back up everything. since the essay would be long. ;/

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Democracy is important to learn about, to know about what history lends itself to. It depends how its taught though. Without bias, learning about democracy is very important, because without learning about it they could be oblivious to their form of government and not know the different types out there, for example if they live in a socialist country. Learning about all forms of governemnt objectively, as it provides a broad education and understanding which is required to make formnable party or voting descisions. Ignorance can really become an issue when history is forgetten and then repeats itself. Just listening to agenda doesn't cut it. ^ That's my opinion, didn't proof read any of it :P Sorry if it rants or sounds stupid

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Of course, if someone's not well-informed about politics they'll just follow what sounds the best, campaigns or anything.

OpenStudy (timaashorty):

No that's great! It'll really help me. Who cares about grammar. It'll help me get started. Thank you c; Do you think the best way to learn about democracy is by campaign and giving the students and opportunity to become presidents vice president in school etc.. ?

OpenStudy (timaashorty):

Or is there a better idea?

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Oh god. This is confusing. See you're talking about democracy, and that's the best way to illustrate it. I was mixing it in with capatalism vs. socialism.. See France is socialist (people are poor there btw compared to murica), but its a democratic socialism...

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Democracy is just voting rights, correct? And yeah, that is a good way to illustrate it.

OpenStudy (timaashorty):

Lol dumbsearch focus. Don't confuse me into that. No just about democracy and school. Forget about socialism and other countries. It's American schools right now. lmao

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Rite.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

I still stand to what I first wrote. It's important to be informed.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Otherwise history does repeat itself, you get dictators.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Anyways, anything else you need help with?

OpenStudy (timaashorty):

True, I'd be sure to take what you've said and use it. In this Every response counts [:

OpenStudy (timaashorty):

Nope just with this democracy crap Thank you once again <3

OpenStudy (timaashorty):

Igtg and coming back later. If you have more or if someone else Please let me know ^.^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is what I think everyone should do: Instead of having to pick one of democracy, republic, etc...ONE SHOULD JUST SAY, I LIKE TO THINK FOR MYSELF!

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Fairly logical ideology :P

OpenStudy (timaashorty):

Lol iambatman i agree

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"Democracy is the dictatorship of the mass" That's not my opinion, but it's definitely an interesting way of seeing it. After reading that, it could be assumed that democracy is the "less bad" of all governing options.
