the base of a triangle is 6 inches more than 4 times the height. If the area is 44 square inches find the base and the height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so let's define our variables. A=area B=base H=height We know that \[b=(4h)+6\] The equation we're solving is \[b*h=44\] What values might work for b and h? (remember that b has to be 4 times as much as h is plus 6!!)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A=(4h+6)h divided by 2=44 that is an example but do not know what to do next

What are some multiples of 4 up until 44?
