If you went to France and you wanted to convert a distance given in kilometers to miles, you would need to take the known kilometers and multiply it by the conversion ratio of 0.6214 miles/1 Km. How do you use conversions in everyday life? Describe a real life scenario where you would apply unit conversions and use conversion ratios.

think about a cooking recipe for example if you grab a pancake mix, and you grab so many cups to make breakfast for you, say 1.5 cup for one person when your friends show up at the weekend, 11 of them, and you need to make breakfast pancakes for all of them how do you know how many cups you'd need to use? well, thus the ratio or proportion
