I forgot how to solve these equations >.< Someone help, please? Thank you. c: -3(x+5)=2x-10 ----- 3 I already distributed the equation of the left and got: -3x-15=2x-10 ------ 3 What do I do next?
(-3*x)-(-3*5)
oh gosh..! i wanted to say that multiply both sides by 3
as that would remove the denominator, making it easy for us to solve it
? You lost me there.
-3(x+5)=(2x-10)/3 lets multiply both sides by 3 => -9 ( x + 5) = ( 2x- 10) now open the brackets and take the co-ordinates of x to a single side and the numerals to the other
and then you need to divide the numeral side with the numeral with x..... and as a result you would get the answer...:D
well, did i find you now..??
No...
What do you mean by "open the brackets"?
that means distribute
Oh, pfft. I knew that, xD
So did he find you? :p
I got 35/11
well recalculate it...
You forgot the negative sign :)
You can always use WolframAlpha to check :D http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?t=crmtb01&f=ob&i=-3(x%2B5)%3D(2x-10)%2F3
Oh right, thanks!
