What would be a reason that an author would choose to use a third-person limited narrator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A third person limited narrator would be one that talks about one person using third person (he or she). It's more reliable than first person because it tells the story as it is rather than what a person thinks or sees.

It is told be someone else but it only talks about one person only. :)
