Which would be a reason for an author to choose to use a third-person omniscient narrator? A. The author would want the reader to see things from one perspective. B. The author would want the reader to understand a particular character better. C. The author would want the reader to have a more reliable and objective narrator. D. The author would want the reader to get an in-depth understanding of a character.

i think it it between C and D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It should be C, third person omniscient is like an overseer because it tells what everyone is doing not just one. So D would not be right because it does not talk about one character only. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay, so the third-person omniscient always talks about all the characters?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep...third person omniscient talks about the whole story using all the characters, it's like one of those imaginary narrators that sees everything that's happening.
