Hmm I would dare to say.... none of the above..? What we were really hoping to see was, k>1. Anything larger than one will scale things up. I guess k<-1 .... might be what we're looking for? :\ The `magnitude` of the k's are larger than one, which is what we're looking for. Like if we're thinking of this in terms of a function or shape, the negative throws it somewhere else, and then the k value makes it larger. I dunno, weird question... not very clear. Those are my thoughts D: maybe it'll help.
