Robert is driving 240 kilometers to the beach the distance Robert drives varies with the hours he drives he has driven 120 kilometers in 3 hours (1)Find the r in the equation D= rt (distance = rate . Times (2) keeping that pace , how long wil it take Robert to drive to the beach

Your question would be a bit clearer if only you'd punctuate that presentation: Robert drives 240 km to the beach. The distance he drives varies with / is dependent on the number of hours he drives. Robert has driven 120 km in 3 hours. Note that distance = rate (speed) * time. We know how far Robert has driven: 120 km; we know how long that took him. Find his speed (rate). If d = r * t, then solve for the rate/speed.
