Could someone please give me the area vales for P(.1757

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you can type "P(.1757<z<.3514)" without quotes into wolfram alpha to get http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=P%28.1757%3Cz%3C.3514%29

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

it not only gives you the area as a number, but it also shades the proper region too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks. i was attempting to do this myself but i am not familiar with how to use that site.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sure thing, the site has a number of ways to input the question and it is fairly "intelligent" in figuring out what you want

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there a way to get it to just show me the single values so that i know what it subtracted?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you can type in P(Z < .1757) to find the area under the curve to the left of z = .1757

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

and P(Z < .3514) to find the area under the curve to the left of z = .3514

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the final result will be the difference between the two areas

thanks for helping me all day im finally done with this assignment. NO MORE LIGHT BULB QUESTIONS.
