Use synthetic division to determine whether the number k is an upper or lower bound (as specified for the real zeros of the function f). k = 4; f(x) = 4x4 - 3x3 - 2x2 - 5x - 4; Upper bound?

For upper bounds i think you do synthetic division, and if all the results are positive it's an upper bound (i think)

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

If it's a lower bound, the signs alternate pos and negative
