What is the missing term, x, in the pattern below? –3, x, –12, 24, –48 A. –6 B. 4 C. 6 D. –2 I think it would be 6 but I'm not sure whether it's -6 or positive 6..

OpenStudy (praxer):

it is 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the common ratio between any two successive terms is -2. Going by the same logic, x = -12/-2 = 6

OpenStudy (praxer):

it a gp and the common term is -2
