QUESTION ATTACHED. PLEASE HELP..
Can you please check my work and especially help on Part B question 2.
Both are correct.
Okay, thanks for that. Can you help me on Part B question 2?
How far is it from the house to the store, in yards? How far would ONE round trip to the store be? How far would THREE round trips to the store be?
Yes. You already know that the distance from the house to the store is 1760 yards, right?
Yes
One round trip means two times the distance from the house to the store. OK?
Just to make sure was it 110,880 yards. I am kind of confused for this reason.
How did you get that number?
3*7=21 5280*21=110,880 yards.
Why multiply by 7? 3 trips to the store and back means 6 trips from the house to the store.
Okay I got that. my main question is that why would there be in one week? the problem says the phrase "one week" in there.
1 trip from the house to the store: 5280 yd 1 trip to the store and back: 2 * 5280 yd 3trips from the house to the store and back: 3 * 2 * 5280 yd
The fact it's in one week makes no difference.
The only thing that matters is that it's 3 round trips to the store.
okay thanks for your help :) i appreciated it :)
What was your final answer?
31, 680 yards ?
Correct. Good job!
Thanks
