The cheerleading squad is trying to earn money to help pay for their trip to the state competition by selling candy. They spent $250 to buy the candy. They plan to resell the chocolate bars, b, at $3 each, and the other candies, c, at $2 each. The equation below represents their profit, P. P = 3b + 2c − 250 If the entire squad sold 150 chocolate bars, which equation should they use to help them find the number of other candies they will need to sell in order to make a profit of $500

All you need to do here is substitute the number of chocolate bars they sold for b and set it equal to 500, the profit. So, \[500=3(150)+2c-250\] Can you solve it from there?
