Covalent bonds are in the air you breathe and the water you drink. How are covalent bonds formed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Covalent bonding is for sharing of electrons. I remember it like co-existing electrons. To share.(Eg H20). It is usually between two non metals. Ionic bonding is for the transfer of electrons. Usually between a metal and a nonmetal. (Eg: NaCl) Dont worry about protons because they do not participate for making chemical bonds. Hope it helps
