Sometimes a dilation is an enlargement, and sometimes it is a reduction. Explain what types of numbers for scale factors causes each.

Hello and Welcome to OpenStudy! :) I'm not entirely sure, but I think it has to do the with idea of percents 1.00 = 100% = original size so if dilation factor is greater than 1, then dilation is enlargement if dilation factor is less than 1, then it is reduced... for example dilation of 2, means it's doubled in size but dilation of 1/2, means it's size is halved
