"studied" suggests not wholly sincere, thus negative connotation

Don't take my word with a grain of salt, however I feel studied implies ambition, dedication, focus, motivation, etc., which subsequently lead me to believe it would draw forth a positive connotation. However some of these given words might possess negative ones, which might counter my belief especially. I would look into these implied ones additionally for certainty! Hope this provokes some ideas in the least.
