The number of cakes produced in a bakery each day can be estimated by C = -2w3 + 16w2+ 100w, where w is the number of workers. Divide by w to find the average number of cookies produced per worker. Select one: a. -w2 + 8w + 50 b. -2w2 + 16w + 100 c. w2 - 8w - 50 d. -2w3 + 16w2 + 100w

As a first step, you factor w out of -2w^3 + 16w^2+ 100^w Then that factored w will cancel out the division by w leaving you with the answer.
i have no idea what to do
Do you know how to factor, for example, 2 out of 2x + 4 ?
yea i know how to factor out the w but I dont see how that will help me
Tell me what you get when you factor out w.
w(-2w^2+16w+100)
Good. Now divide that by w. The w in the denominator will cancel out the w in the factor above.
w(-2w^2+16w+100) / w = ?
-2w^2+16w+100
Yes!!
thanks
