The number of cakes produced in a bakery each day can be estimated by C = -2w3 + 16w2+ 100w, where w is the number of workers. Divide by w to find the average number of cookies produced per worker.
Select one:

b. -2w2 + 16w + 100

As a first step, you factor w out of -2w^3 + 16w^2+ 100^w
Then that factored w will cancel out the division by w leaving you with the answer.

i have no idea what to do
OpenStudy (ranga):
Do you know how to factor, for example, 2 out of 2x + 4 ?
OpenStudy (1645323):
yea i know how to factor out the w but I dont see how that will help me

Tell me what you get when you factor out w.
OpenStudy (1645323):
w(-2w^2+16w+100)
OpenStudy (ranga):
Good. Now divide that by w. The w in the denominator will cancel out the w in the factor above.
OpenStudy (ranga):
w(-2w^2+16w+100) / w = ?
OpenStudy (1645323):
-2w^2+16w+100
