The Eiffel Tower is about 985 feet tall. Suppose you wanted to sell models of the building. What scale would you use? Explain your choice.

Well, lets see what would a reasonable size be for a model? I would think it could be anywhere from 6 inches to a foot or so. So: 985x = yft. Where y is a reasonable number, such as 6 inches. 958ft(x) = 6 inches. convert 6 inches into feet. 6/12 = 0.5, 6 inches = 0.5 feet 958ft(x) = 0.5ft divide both sides by 958 x = (1/1916). For the models to be 6 inches, they would need to be 1 to 1916 scale
